Designed by the Hunter Design Team and produced by using the
patented Advanced Composite Process, the Hunter 170 is the ultimate daysailer.
Seating for six is no problem with the wide open and uncluttered cockpit.
The open transom allows for great access for swimming or boarding and there
is even a dual access storage area forward to store your provisions. A wide
beam will keep you stable while the hull design will really perform on all
points of sail. Beginner or seasoned sailor alike will both appreciate the
simplified rig with a large main and small jib. A kick-up centerboard and
swing-up rudder makes beaching or landing a snap.
The hull is built with an Advanced Composite Process which integrates
an ABS plastic, high density foam and woven roving into a sandwich construction
that is both unsinkable and five times more impact resistant than fiberglass
and carries a five year warranty.
